I had a blast teaming up with my pal Amy to brand her new music studio in downtown Andrews, NC! Amy wanted a simple, clean logo that will stand out over time. The classic black and white application on this handmade sign is perfect for the space!
This is my first made from scratch sign! While Amy and I were discussing the logo and a circular sign, my husband suggested we use a barrel ring as the casing of the sign… and that’s exactly what I did!
I traced the old, rusty barrel ring he mentioned onto a piece of scrap wood. Then, I cut out the circle with my jig saw, sanded the wood and painted the logo on the sign. I used a metal drill bit and made guide holes for the eye bolts. Once those were in place, we hung it up with twine! I must admit, projects like these are my favorite. They make me feel like I’m Tinkerbell! Honestly, if I were a fairy – I’d totally be a tinker fairy!
